The Bible tells us:
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23 (NLT)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (NLT)
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12 (NLT)
[Jesus said,] “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” (Revelation 3:20 (NLT)
If you have never asked Jesus to be your Savior and Lord, today is a good day! It’s very simple :
1 – Admit you have sinned and need to be forgiven. No person, other than Jesus, has or could ever live a sinless life. We can never have a relationship with God if we do not believe in Jesus and receive the forgiveness He died to give us.
2 – Believe Jesus was born of a virgin, lived among us, and died in our place to take the death penalty for all who would believe upon Him. And believe that God raised Him from death to eternal life on the third day and that He ascended to heaven and He will come again.
3 – Commit your life to following Jesus as Your Lord and King. If you have done the first 2 with a repentant heart you are now a new creation! All your past sins are forgiven and forgotten.
4 – Determine to live your life for Jesus. Read the Bible every day (begin with the Gospel of John). Pray every day and anytime during the day if you feel temptation, fear, doubt, or weak in your walk. Remember to look for His presence and His work in Your life and thank Him for what He has done and is doing in and for you! Find a good Bible – believing church and make friends with other believers who can walk beside you and help you in you journey with Jesus.
9If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10 (NLT)
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:117 (NLT)
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)
