Julia Melatis – Author

Julia and her husband Jim are married for 40 years. She is a mother to 3 , and a Grammy to 5.
Julia’s passion is to study and teach the Word of God! Her heart’s desire is to see souls saved and lives changed through relationship with Jesus Christ. Julia is also an encourager and intercessor. She published her first book, in February 2019.

Julia has been involved in various parts of Women’s Ministry for many years, from event planning, preparing meals, leading Bible studies, and a healing ministry to unequally yoked women, to writing and teaching Bible studies and messages of life and hope from God’s Word (see the Women’s Ministry page for more info).
Julia has said that she feels like Jeremiah when he said,

But if I say I’ll never mention the LORD or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it! Jeremiah 20:9 NLT

My heart, my heart–I writhe in pain! My heart pounds within me! I cannot be still. For I have heard the blast of enemy trumpets and the roar of their battle cries. Jeremiah 4:19 NLT

We may not live in a place where war rages outside our doors everyday, but we do have a battle raging within our hearts and minds that affects life in this world and where we will spend eternity.

Many women have grown up with self-esteem issues. They find it hard to believe God can love them or forgive them for their past, let alone use them in some way to serve and further the Kingdom of God. Julia has been there. She feels compelled to share what she has learned and bring God’s message of love and hope, mercy and forgiveness to lost and hurting women.
Julia is a retreat and conference speaker. She likes to incorporate simple crafts and other interactive activities into her retreats, along with worship and plenty of solitude time.
