We need a spiritual awakening in this country! If you are a believer reading this, I ask you, are you praying for our country and especially our leaders to come to repentance and receive salvation in Jesus Christ? Complaining won’t solve anything, arguing wont solve anything, neither will going along with the crowd accepting the sin and lies that are rampant in our society. BUT GOD can change things. Only God can change hearts. Yes, we are called to walk in love, but we’re not doing anyone any favors loving them into hell. If it were a matter of live and let live, everyone has the right to choose their destiny by accepting or rejecting Jesus, but that’s not enough for many. So many want to demand that everyone accept their choices or have legal consequences and allow them to teach sinfulness to our children and grandchildren.
This is a spiritual war, and eternity is at stake. Join me in praying for our country and our leaders to see the light and receive Jesus as their Savior AND Lord. Then go out and be the light to others. Not by ugly confrontations, but speaking the truth in love. Obviously, we can’t expect unbelievers to live like believers. We can’t expect change before they encounter Jesus. What we say and do will influence their perception of Jesus. I believe that a lot of what is going on in their lives has to do with not knowing their identity and wanting acceptance. Christians are not well known as loving and accepting people. I don’t mean we should accept sinful lifestyles as okay, but we can’t have the opportunity to share the Gospel message and our testimonies of God’s grace and mercy demonstrated in our lives with others if all we do is condemn them. It is Holy Spirit’s job to convict people of their sins, not ours. Ask God for the words to speak to others that will touch their hearts. We cannot force anyone to repent and believe, but we are commanded to go out and make disciples. We do our part and trust God for the outcome.
Much of what is happening is foretold in Scripture, for example:
1But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good, 4traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!
2 Timothy 3:1-5 BSB
1I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom: 2Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction.
3For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
5But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
2 Timothy 4:1-5 BSB

Though these things need to come to pass, it does not mean we stop living out God’s commands. Be strong and courageous. Don’t lose hope. Remember, hope is not a wish, it is certainty in God’s Word and work, even though we cannot see it yet (Hebrews 11:1).
Abide in Jesus. Stay tuned in to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Let Him guide every thought, word, and deed. Stay in the Word. Keep on praying for the saints, our leaders, our country, and the world. Bring as many as you can into the kingdom. Keep praying and do not lose hope (Luke 18:1).
With blessings of Hope and Joy,
